One of the days we came back to our room and the room had been cleaned but all of the pillows were left on the floor in the closet. The hotel is in a central location in Gaslamp making it easy to walk to many activities, For the most part the hotel is clean. My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Indigo for the weekend. When I went downstairs a few minutes later to checkout, I found that there had been no "computer issues" with the bookings and that it was a scam call. The conversation ended quickly after that. I declined, saying I didn't want to provide my credit card number over the phone and would come down to the front desk to resolve this. He asked how my stay was and if there were any issues with the room, then asked for the credit card number I used during checkin to cover costs if any damages were found in my room. He explained that they were having computer problems and had lost reservations for several of the rooms in the hotel. On checkout day, I received a call in my room from someone pretending to be the hotel manager. On the plus side, the location is close to lots of things and is great if you love the gaslamp area. The person at the front desk was quick to remove the charge, but this could have easily gone unnoticed. I ended up parking at the hotel on saturday night after spending 30 minutes looking for parking and was charged for 2 nights on my hotel bill. Most of the other lots specify "no overnight parking" or have very deceptive rates. There's a garage on 7th/Market that is a good alternative to the $39/day parking the hotel offers but we found that it filled up pretty early most nights. I politely asked them to keep it down on the first night and they were quite rude about it. We also had some noisy girls across the hall from us who came in late every night screaming in the hallway and slamming doors. The maid didn't come by to service the room until about 4 to 5 pm each day. We found hairs in the bed and in the shower. The quality of the maid service was also questionable. The shower head was barely hanging on the wall and the toilet seat had come loose. The room was fairly nice, with modern decor and a comfy bed, but was showing quite a bit of wear (or lack of maintenance). I went back down to the lobby and requested a quiet room and was moved to the very end of the hallway (nice!). Upon check-in, we were given a room directly across from the ice machine on the 4th floor. I had high hopes for this hotel but left feeling overwhelmed. I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights beginning on 8/30. I ended up parking at the hotel on saturday.
